missing footage
Just finished a 3D job and have had reports of some footage missing or only partially recorded. Obviously there are a number of processes to go through, XDR to Card, card to hard drive or laptop and then drive to edit suite. Has anyone else found that files just simply do not download or just go missing??? I've also had reports that, occasionally, when recording on CF1 some files are being recorded onto CF2 instead. Why would this happen?

I've really put the XDR through its paces. I haven't lost a single frame. Not sure what's happening in your case. My camera and XDR share the same power so my camera will shutdown when the battery goes below a certain point, but the XDR stays powered up. It's literally impossible for my XDR to power down while recording.

Dear Chris,
Please feel free to call us and we will be happy to trouble shoot you situation. Our main number is 720 221 3861; please ask for support. What CompactFlash cards are you using? Did you format the cards in the nanoFlash? Do you have missing Files? One can read the Filename. The first two digits are the nanoFlash Unit ID, The next three digits are the Clip Number (automatically incremented). The next three digits are the Sub-Clip or File number within each Clip. This starts at one for each Clip. When the card in Slot 1 is almost full, we will switch to Slot 2. Please call us so we can assist you.
