NanoFash Extend The Service Life of Broadcast SD Camera's

Hello,
I am considering purchasing a Datavideo DAC-7 Camera Mounted Converter - Component, Composite and S-Video to embedded SDI to record to the NanoFlash in SD. The test's that I have done have shown that the quality of the video from a broadcast quality SD camera, the DXC-D35WSP 2/3" CCD produced a high quality pictures’ than the SDI down converted signal of the EX3. This would be a very good way to extend the service life of SD broadcast quality camera's. Unfortunately the device that I used to test with is very expensive nearly three times the price of the Datavideo DAC-7.

I was wondering if anyone had tried a DAC-7 and what the output quality was like or any other suggestion.
