Nanoflash recordings and Command I

I received my nanoflash yesterday and immediately went to work on a few test records in Long GOP @ 100Mbps in advance of my first nf shoot today. Setup was very easy as has been mentioned in other topics. inserted the cf card into computer, selected qt clip. The command I info revealed 4.2.2 50Mbps.

Now I know that CD has instigated or forced the data to state this but please remind me how to check that the recording is really @ 100Mbps.

This is NOT in FCP, just the Apple Finder info as I use Media 100 for my editing. Further to that, I imported the clip but as M100 does not use the 4.2.2 100Mbps codec, I had to transcode to ProRez. All imported just fine and the very short inspection of picture quality on my fully calibrated plasma monitor, assured me that it all works just fine. I hope I am not losing quality. Does not look like it.

Any comments?

QuickTime Player

When I opened my 100Mbps test clips in QT Player, and selected "Show Movie Inspector," it correctly identified the clips as being 100Mbps. So you shouldn't be losing quality in your edit program.

check the other posts in this forum. I believed they said that it will state 50 mbps but it's really the higher data rate that you selected.
