Transfer software
What is the advantage in using the different file transfer software systems. A colleague of mine uses Shot Put Pro. Anyone else using this or any other systems to help with the transfer process.
Thanks... |

I'm not familiar with shot put pro, but I would guess that a good video copy software would do better verification, maybe configure a single button click or hotkey to initiate transfer. maybe create automatic backup (multiple destination) or logging metadata, etc. Maybe they would even do things like file name transformations, etc.

The best thing about Shotput is that it will transfer to 2 (or 3?) drives at the same time in the field very quickly. It will also do a check on the transfer to make sure everything transfered correctly.
If you are shooting a lot of footage (or on multiple cameras) it helps ensure a fast safe download of the cards everyday. |
