Dear Jonathan,
There is one 3.5mm (1/8") TRS (Tip, Ring, Sleave) audio input jack on the nanoFlash. This can be configured, via the menu, as follows: 1. One balanced, microphone level, mic input. The maximum gain on this is 44 dB, and there is no phantom power provided. 2. Two unbalanced, microphone level, mic inputs. The maximum gain on these are 44 dB, and there is no phantom power provided. 3. Two unbalanced, consumer line level (-10 dB) line level inputs. 4. 1 each of Type 2 and Type 3. No mater which type of input is selected, it will be recorded as 24-Bit / 48K audio. There is also a 3.5mm (1/8") headphone output which can confiqured as a consumer line-level output. For comparision, the Flash XDR has two professional balanced mic/line level XLR inputs with up to 65 dB of gain, 24-Bit/48K, with +48 VDC Phantom Power available selectively for each channel. Two Channels of balanced Audio Output are also available, via a 5-Pin XLR output. Both the Flash XDR and nanoFlash can record two channels of audio via the embedded HD/SD-SDI signal.
