Will SONY Vegas 8.0 handle the XDR stream?
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to ask Dan or Mike if they have done any testing with the Flash XDR & Sony Vegas? Is Vegas able to handle the bit stream, especially the 100mb per sec? And is Vegas able to handle the under cranking/over-cranking at the high bit rates? Thanks in advance for the information. |

Dear Peter,
Sony Vegas Pro 8.0(c) handls our Long-GOP options, but does not handle our I-Frame only at this time. We have sent files to Sony in the hopes that this will change. Other Non-Linear Editors support our I-Frame Only options. Sorry, but I do not currently know if Vegas handles over and under cranking. If it handles it at the lower bit rates, it should handle it at the higher bit rates. Please note that Sony Vegas Pro version 8.0(c) is required to work with our 4:2:2 HL profile options.
