I took delivery of the XDR this month & use the same camera as you XL-H1, as you may be aware you can't take a power feed from the H1 to power the XDR. I've used a SWIT battery mount that uses the same canon type batteries as the H1 & then just made up a cable with 5.5mm connector at one end for the SWIT adaptor & a 4 pin XLR at the other. It works fine & I only have to use one type of batter for the H1 & XDR, the XDR power drain is about 50% more than the H1. Photo's attached of the SWIT unit, its currently clamped on the pan handle of the tripod, next I'm looking how to attache the XDR/H1.
