XDR and AE

If you dont know already, the codec that Sony uses in the EX1 and EX3 has issues with Adobe After Effects. Black frames are produced at varying intervals when previewing and rendering XDCAM footage in after effects. I was wondering if there is any word about whether the XDR will have the same issues since it uses a similar codec. Seems likely the I-frame version wont have this issue but it would be good to know for sure.

Hi Noah-
We should be able to test our files with AE very soon, as we are very close to producing .mov (QT) files. The CODEC we use is slightly different from the EX1/EX3 as it produces 4:2:2 50/100 Mbps MPEG2, which is the same as the Sony PDW-700 camera. This may or may not make a difference with this issue.

Thanks for the "heads-up", we'll be sure and look into this issue.
