nano/xdr image flip function query?
I noticed the device has a handy image flip function, but I'm not clear on whether it flips the image before recording to CF or on playback from CF?
It would be handiest if the recorded data was recorded the correct way up, rather than on playback from HD-SDI or still having to flip in post after copying from files directly from CF. |

Dear David,
The image will be flipped upon input prior to recording. Also, the "Pass Through" HD-SDI output will also be flipped. This is a great conveneince for monitoring. Just as a side note, if the HD-SDI input signal does not have embedded audio and timecode, the Flash XDR will embed these signals on the "Pass Though" HD-SDI output. This is a great convenience for cameras such as the original XL H1.

That's what I wanted to hear, thanks. A lot of forethought is going into this device it seems.
