AspectHD/Cineform acquisition problem
I'm trying out the AspectHD software and tried it on some HDV video i did a few days ago.
Using Premier pro 2 on a quad core PC with a 22" asus 222 monitor When capturing the video and playing back in premier, the footage does'nt look very good. It looks like it has way too much colour. Although it does look ok when the footage is paused on the screen. I've checked the capture settings and they are fine. I've also captured it using the standard HDV capture on premier and the footage looks good. Far better than via Aspect. Seems to me I have to do extra work to get the footage to look like the standard capture. Is this normal? |

Video capture is always just copying 1's and 0's. It's not going to change the look of the footage. As I remember this has something to do with the graphics card you're using. What's in your computer?

Ben is correct. Let me guess, you have a NVidia card and the saturation for the overlay is set to 114% -- NVidia ships their cards with the wrong defaults for video work -- you need to tweak the NVidia settings.

Yep, I have an Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX
I'll have a play around with the settings and see what happens. Thanks for the help. |
