Mark, we're still working a bit on the documentation updates. For better or worse, rather than delay releases we tend to get the releases out and catch up on the documentation afterwards.

Re Filmscan and Filmscan 2, the purpose of these is to accurately reproduce the grain noise from 16mm and 35mm film scans. Internally we refer to FS2 as "overkill" and don't use it much as the files are bigger without obviously better quality. That said, do your own testing. For certain keying / compositing / effects work you may decide you want to use FS2. In general we recommend High for most general work (it's actually a notch above what was used on Dust 2 Glory a couple years ago) or Filmscan. Filmscan 2 is then used only for the paranoid.

Does that help?

Yeah, getting high (from your captures) is a good thing.
