Canon HV10 Problems
Just got an HV10 for the wife [lighter and easier to take on vacation than our big Sony]. Here are my problems so far:
1. HDVSplit doesn't recognize the time code, so I get a thousand files with Jan 01, 2000 dates. 2. HDLink won't capture. It logs a couple of long error messages, something about "class not registered". It does recognize the device as an HV10 and will control the device [play, rewind, etc.] - it just won't capture. 3. Adobe Premier Pro 1.5 using Cineform HDV DOES capture perfectly, including Scene Detection. If Cineform would like the details of the error, let me know. Thanks, Wayne Johnson |

The "class not registered" is easily fixed. Just register all the .ax files with program files/Common Files/CineForm using regsvr32.exe (or just a re-install will often fix it.) Make sure you have the latest version.
