Can't run m2t in my system
I know it is common to get the message that the file type for m2t is not recognized by Windows Media Player. I am running Media Player 10.0, and it does not recognize the file type with that extension. But I have heard from others that they get the files to run by changing the extension to mpg or mov. I tried it, and on my system Media Player says it is looking for a codec, and then pretends that it is playing the file (the pause and stop buttons are visible, and switch to a play button if clicked) but all the while the screen is black and the progress bar (or whatever that thing is called) remains stationary.
I thought Aspect HD loaded in the necessary codec(s) for this file format. What am I doing wrong? FWIW I can't play mp4 files in Media Player either |

Download the VLC media player. It's free. You can find it with google.

That's got it, thank you. I had downl;oaded it earlier today to play the mp4, but didn't have the guts to install it. This was the nudge I needed. |
