HD Monitors
What kind of LCD or CRT monitors are people using for program monitoring. I am looking for a suggestion for an LCD Monitor/TV to view my content. I do not think that I can afford a proper CRT though.
Thanks, Gary |

Monitor ideas
I'm using a pair of the new 21" Gateway FPD2185W. See my post at the end of the A "Quick Guide to Setting Up AspectHD/Premiere Pro/Matrox Parhelia APVe" thread, which has other ideas

15:9
Don or Any one else... If one were to connect the Gateway 21" monitor with the Component output from the Matrox APVe, would a 16:9 image be displayed correctly, with no vertical squeeze? Is it necessary to purchace a true 16:9 aspect ratio LCD to avoid this problem? Are there any workarounds or setup options to use with any other 15:9 displays, like the Dell 19" Wide?
Thanks, Gary |

Two DVIs show overlay fine, DVI + component HDTV does not
Had time to run some more tests and while I got two DVI connected panels to show overlay, I couldn't do the trick with HDTV output. Clearly a Matrox problem I am working out and posted here:

Was able to get 16:9 output in componentHD
As you may see from the uptdate in the link above, I was able to get 16:9 output on analog HD output on my 16:10 panel. It now has small black bars top and bottom. So I have DVI at 1680x1050 on one panel and ComponentHD on the other at 1080i30 scaled to full width.
