Hi David,
Just to let you know, I'm testing the last ConnectHD trial install/uninstall on the Maxedia to try to have just the encoder installed. |

Marc,
Did you mean the decoder? The encoder is the main licensed component, you will need to purchase Connect HD is you need for longer than 15-days.

So far, so good. This last ConnectHD install/uninstaller which keeps only the decoder drivers on the system, it keeps on running fine now on the Maxedia XP embedded.
The performance of the system (CPU load) is less then playing the same file in HD-WMV. Which is better for the real-time application. It's about the same load as playing a DV-file. Our software engineers were amazed. We had to make some small adjustments in our application for seamless looping, but that's all fixed. So yes, we are excited about this codec in general to be able add to our system. The more codecs, the more freedom for our end-users to choose. We put logo's at the startup splash screen of the formats we support. Can you let me know which logo you would like me to add? Thanks. I guess you still have my email address? |
