Silent fall - Sounds better than crash.
This error is coming up on a Windows7 Professional/Premiere CS6 machine, when attemjpting to assmble and edit cineform 2K files from a SI2K which was running DVR1.
"A low level exception occurred in :ImporterDirectoShow(Importer)" It is accompanied by a freeze and need to exit and restart. Any clues will be much appreciated. |

Re: Silent fall - Sounds better than crash.
It looks like problem solvered for the time being. The issue seems to have resolved itself although there is still an occassional dead freeze and importer error message.
The sequence of events seems to be set off when going to the media browser to view a clip and if a "repaired" file is in that folder. The issue seems to have been minimised by either using the previously published trick of reducing paused playback resolution, or deleting the damaged "repaired" file if it is not likely to be used or moving it off to another folder until called for.
