Re: CS6 Premiere Pro
Update:
I have now bought the CS6 production premium, so it's no longer a trial. But I have still not access to any Cineform effects etc. Copied the Cineform plugin folder to the folder Ian described in the previous post, still no access. |

Re: CS6 Premiere Pro
Thank you, David.
Will the support for CS6 be available for the "old" Cineform Neo, or will this be for the Cineform Studio only? |

Re: CS6 Premiere Pro
Thank you. This is what everyone has been asking that have already commited to CS6. Any news on the output conversion speed, it is just a nightmare at the current rate and causes us opt for other options when time is important which is daily.

Re: CS6 Premiere Pro
SpeedGrade has used CineForm for years, unless Adobe broke it (I haven't tested) I expect it works as it always did.

Re: CS6 Premiere Pro
Yes, I think they did break it. Several users on the Adobe Speedgrade forum reporting that this is not working.
Maybe you could give your 'mates' a call and let them know. Regards, Mark Wilson. |

It is working here. What has broken?

Re: CS6 Premiere Pro
Thanks for testing that! Gives me hope I can get it working.
Explanation from one user using up-to-date codec here: Adobe Forums: Output to Cineform AVI I am on an older version (6.0.0.434; Neo 4.32) and get similar results when rendering from Speedgrade: Audio drops out after a few seconds, and video looks like this - Attachment 1338439442 |

Re: CS6 Premiere Pro
I thouhgt you are talking of decoding, SG never supported export to CineForm. We tried for years to convince them to add that.

Re: CS6 Premiere Pro
OK, that's too bad; would have made a nice workflow.
Thanks for the quick response! |

Re: CS6 Premiere Pro
Seem if their VfW interface to the CineForm codec is broken, yet the QuickTIme export to CineForm is working fine.
In either case, we hope that SpeedGrade targets using more than 8-bit for their streaming outputs, which VFW and QuickTime seem to me in SG.

Re: CS6 Premiere Pro
just saw a recent tweet via the cineform blog: "no longer necessary to do manual CS6 installs, new CineForm Studio builds are now available."
so we now have CS6 compatibility with Studio Premium? |
