Re: Random Black Frames when Rendering?

SCS site is presently unavailable for maintenance so I've been unable to get my support ticket into their system. Unfortunately they're not usually nearly as prompt in responding as are Cineform, but that's how it's always been.
Might I suggest that we take note of clips that go black to nail down the question of whether it is truly a random occurrence? Back with v10a my impression was that 'going black' was random, but turned out that it involved specific clips. If not random, it helps people trying to solve the problem to have a troublesome clip. Right now my impression is of randomness and I doubt that it is hardware related. I've experienced it on different platforms with different drives, in 32bit and 64bit Vegas.

Re: Random Black Frames when Rendering?

Has anyone submitted a support request to SCS on this? Seems to be possible only when one has a paid support plan; am I right?

I can't even register never-mind submit a support request, their system has been down for days now. We are pretty much screwed if it's Vegas causing these problems we won't get the same kind of support from Sony that we get from Cineform.
