converting 59.94 GH1 to 23.98 slow motion -remaster MAC

How do you do this?

I cannot find any function in REMASTER that converts 59.94 720 into 23.98 1920 (upres).

Is this possible? I know it can be done on the PC version in HDlink...

Just very busy. Slow motion is easy to do in the NLE, we haven't had significant enough reason to implement in the Mac over other priorities.

HOWEVER: There is slow motion remapping in GoPro CineForm Studio, so stay tuned for the professional versions of that.

Re: converting 59.94 GH1 to 23.98 slow motion -remaster MAC

Sorry for the OT:

David, is there a roadmap for what's ahead, as far as Cineform is concerned ? (being now a division of go-pro).

It seems that priorities are changed (I might be wrong at that...)

Thanks

There is a big roadmap ahead. Priorities have changed, as we could never afford to do these new things as CineForm alone. The original vision remains, but it now better funded.

I can say no more than what has already happened/announced that you may not be aware of. The CineForm HD 4:2:2 codec is now free, install GoPro CineForm Studio and you get an full encoding license to use any tools you like on any camera you like. You no longer need to tell your partners to install NeoPlayer for a decoder only license. We have already announced that Neo will become CineForm Studio Premium and Neo3D Studio Professional (at today's already significantly reduced price point.) These will have the features of Neo and much more.

I am a Neoscene--->NeoHD--->Neo customer.

So I know all the news that are made available...

The things I don't know are the "... and much more" part :-)

Furthermore, will Neo life cycle stop, till the new software will become available ?

Has Neo stopped so far? We've had several releases since the acquisition, and have new beta testing now (not public yet.) Neo/Neo3D will have a name change (and your license upgraded) and continue its development.

I was on vacation for nearly a month, so 5.5.3 wasn't released, on 5.5.4 now, so work continues.

Any chance the "much more" has something to do with MVC?

Slow motion is easy to do in the NLE - but you don't get realtime playback of the clip - as is the glory of cineform. It is a render process to watch the clip.

I guess it depends on the NLE. This is not an issue in Premiere.

Re: converting 59.94 GH1 to 23.98 slow motion -remaster MAC

too bad that premiere isn't more widely accepted and used in the professional market.

From my experience, Cineform has been getting crippled by prores and apple users because FCP just isn't supporting the cineform codec as well.
