Quicktime cannot 'EXPORT for web' cineform files
Tried exporting to EXPORT FOR WEB QT version 7.6.5.
Cineform si2k file 2048 x 1152 File produced is a garbled mess of pixelation and colors. Anyone else try this to confirm? Just looking for a quick way to downres to a small file size to post a project for reference online with my sound editor. Last edited by Justin Lovell; July 3rd, 2011 at 03:06 PM. Reason: TYPO |

Re: Quicktime cannot 'EXPORT for web' cineform files
I get the same result since moving to Neo v5.
I tried with several QT version and no more chance. it seem to have something changed inside CF file. my workaround is to use Mainconcept Codec Suite for Premiere which produces beautifully mp4 H264 files with excellent resizing quality. btw, Quicktime player is the only tool to produce the best quality of .mov file; i hope this will be supported again. |

It sounds like the pixelated mess that sometimes occurs on very small decodes. What size are you encoding to? Does it happen if you encode to 1/2 size? (1Kx576) What version of the cineform codec are you using?
