R3D to CineFrom with source meta
Is there a way to convert R3D to CineForm and maintain the color settings from the source RMD (meta-data)? The CineForm files always look dark, low saturation and contrast.
Or is there a way to apply the Red color space and gamma curve in First Light? The footage uses REDcolor and REDgamma, I don't know how to translate this in FirstLight, anyone have any experience with this? Thanks, Jeff |

Re: R3D to CineFrom with source meta
we do this intentionally as the Red settings would bake in and not give you the best flexibility. We do offer a RedSpace like curve within FirstLight -- set Decoder curve to "RSpace"

Ah, RSpace, I should have guessed.
Thanks for the info David. Makes sense, I obviously don't want to bake in the settings. |
