iPad Control Surface for First Light - Gradiest
I'm excited to announce that a couple days ago, the first official version of Gradiest went live on the iPad app store.
This release (1.0.0) is for Mac First Light users only. You can find out more at the app's website: www.actfocused.com. If you have any questions, comments, or troubles, you can send a message to @ActFocused on Twitter, or an email to support@actfocused.com. I hope you enjoy! |

Hi Kris,
This first version is for Mac because that was the most direct way to interface with the iPad. |

Looks interesting...would love to get some feedback from DVINFO users on how it performs and of course would also like to know when the PC version will be available.

Re: iPad Control Surface for First Light - Gradiest
After reading the manual I can't find the option to switch between clips. Is it just an omission in the manual or is the app missing the feature?

Hi James,
I'm sorry I can't give a timeline yet for PC support, but I know it's important to a great number of First Light users. |

The "Transport Controls" section of the manual on page 5 reads: "The arrows are buttons that can be double tapped to jump to the next or previous clip." I'll consider re-wording that, or handlng its description differently, in light of your question. Also, I'll take this opportunity to point out one of the extra features of using Gradiest, that's not native to First Light. Page 14 mentions the "Auto Set Matte" option, whch will automatically set yor matte selection for any clips you load when using these Previous Clip and Next Clip buttons. |

No problem Clint!
It's a really amazing app. FreshDV just posted it at the top of their page and tweeted about it. Cool stuff. |
