Strobe effect in converted 1080i footage

I have converted some 1080i footage from a GH2 camera that is affected with a strobe like effect only after conversion to 16:9 SD. Original footage is pefect as is.

I have used HDlink and set conversion to interlaced, and to progressive, and the same result occurs either way.

What's up with this? Anyone know the cause?

As "strobe like effect" could be a large number of things, please contact support. Send short footage with the issue.

Never mind, ignore this comment, I was mistaken. I'll fill out a ticket. It seemed when changed to black and white the strobing went away, but I was mistaken.

Re: Strobe effect in converted 1080i footage

Hi Jeff
i'm going to buy gh2, and i read many post about recording and HDMI out of gh2.

if i remember correctly 1080i recording is ingested in a 60i structure also if you choose a different frame rate.
check the instructional manual and verify if you must do some pulldown to recover original frame rate.

Carlo, I found today that the issue is ONLY in playback on my timeline, very strange.
