Suggestion: virtual copies in FirstLight
I would really like to see virtual copies in FirstLight.
FL would then create a reference .mov and just save the meta data for the virtual copy. This way I could re-purpose footage many times without adding unnecessary weight to the hard drive. This is a workflow that is very common in RAW editors for photos such as Lightroom and Aperture and it works really well. |

That is what the FirstLight databases are for, "re-purpose footage many times" for different projects with different looks.

Ah, OK, sounds good.
I'll look into that! But that means that I can have a folder with master CF clips and from those create many databases referencing these clips, where each database has it's own discrete metadata? That'll work... |
