Problem with CF color space conversion for TMPGEnc Mastering works 5
I have a color space mismatch when mpeg encoding Cineform DV files created with Vegas Pro 10c with TMPGEnc Mastering Works 5. I am using NeoHD v 5.3.1.304. If I use HDLink to convert the same DV files to CF the colorspace matches what TMPGEnc MW5 expects and it works fine. If I compare the video levels of the DV CF files from HDLink and Vegas they are definitely not the same color space. Help appreciated.

DV? The standard defintion tape format? HDLink is not designed for or tested with SD formats. Vegas has different video level defaults (black at 16 not 0), it that what you are talking about?

Thanks David, the Vegas black = 16 was the problem. This was sd not dv in the context of HD -> SD and yes I know HDLink was not intended for sd but it was handy.
