Question to David Newman re AF100 LPCM audio and NeoScene
I chose to use the 16bit 48k Linear PCM audio facility on my AF101 recordings, being better quality than AC3. However NeoScene doesn't yet cope with this....I'm using version 5.3.1 build 304
Do you intend to allow the conversion of the LPCM in the near future? David |

Re: Question to David Newman re AF100 LPCM audio and NeoScene
Neoscene converts the file with the PCM audio, but it's digital shash with bursts of distorted audio within it. I have an AC3 codec in the PC, that I believe Neoscene normally uses in it's transfer process.
It's not a big problem as I can bin the useless audio and use the PCM audio from the original file (in Premiere Pro CS5) but it causes lots of fun in re-linking the PCM to the new Neoscene version. There's a noticable improvement in using the PCM audio over the AC3 and the uncompressed 16bit 48k audio doesn't affect the video bit rate during recording either. DT |
