Bleeding edge beta for 3D and Alpha channel users.

Neo3D http://cineform.com/downloads/Neo3Dv531b301-110213.zip
Neo4K http://cineform.com/downloads/Neo4Kv531b301-110213.zip
NeoHD http://cineform.com/downloads/NeoHDv531b301-110213.zip

Build 5.3.1.301, beta released 13-February-2011
Added: support 4444 (alpha channel) sources to use FirstLight and Active Metadata corrections.
Added: support for r408/v408 decodes with alpha channel.
Added: support for 3D corrections for interlaced sources.
Added: support for framing corrections for interlaced sources.
Enhanced: 2D source can now be used in 3D productions.
Fixed: DPX2CF filename length issue. Very long filenames wouldn't load.
Fixed: ParseCFHD tool to work with 3D uncompressed CineForm sources.

This one is mainly for Neo4K and Neo3D users. Alpha channels have been support by CineForm for many years, it even predates FirstLight and Active Metadata corrections, but it was never update to support AM until now. You have now so all your color correction, framing and 3D correction with files that have alpha channels.

PS. If you want do a mix down to a checkerboard, like shown below, you will need to add a defaults file as the UI has yet to updated for the mixdown options. Yet me know if you want this for FirstLight.

Not your fault, I had cut-and-pasted the links weirdly, now fixed.

Hi David,

yep, an option to enable/disable a background to be able to see where the transparency is, would be very cool.

I also like to see an option to see only a single color channel R, G, B, A selectively (or have I overseen that?).

Will the new version fix the export of alpha channel layered rendering in Premiere CS5 as well?

Regards,
Axel

Refreshing the above beta links for Neo4K and Neo3D, should be updaed in 30 minutes. We now have alpha channel exports from Premiere.

DeckLink strange framerates

Hi.

I have the latest DeckLink drivers installed.

If I use DeckLink input to capture in HDLink then I get wierd framerates displayed. See enclosed screen capture.

We have tried to fix that BMD display rate, something in the sample code they provide (so I am told.) It is completely cosmetic, just time the number by 10. The pairs of 2.40 are 23.976 then 24.0, always in increasing frame rate.

OK.

I hope this cosmetic problem will still be fixed.

BTW, why is there no interlaced modes in the list?

Kind regards,
Jan

Re: Bleeding edge beta for 3D and Alpha channel users.

I think interlace in HD is pretty artificial.

Any progressive 1080 format is internally just a 1080PSF (progressive with sequential fields), which is nothing else than making two fileds, that become combined the progressive frame.
