Workflow for 550d
Honestly i ust want to be sure im doing the right thing, since i have to transcode hours of video this night.
I have a lot of fotage filmed on Canon 550d 25f, stored on my harddrive. And this is how i am going to transcode it with NeoScene. 1 Open NeoScene /facepalm 2 Go Convert 3 Select File/Chose the files i need transcoded/Press ok 4 Press Prefs Now, in "Prefs" i do this; Automatically convert to CineForm intermediate(8.avi.) = Tick Split file on scene changes= Tick ------------------------- Under CineForm Encoder options:Quality- Hight I-frames only=Tick Under Output Frame Format: Maintain source frame format= Tick Progressive source= Tick And last, i select the Target Directory. Is there something i should do more to get better results, or im good ? Il edit my videos on Sony Vegas 9 . A nice pat on the back or seal of aproval that i am doing it right, from some1 who knows , is all i rly need right now. Gustavs. |

Your settings are fine, although "Split file on scene changes" is an feature for HD tape users only, be happy you aren't dealing with tape.

eXelent. Thanks.
"Split file on scene changes" Hope this wont make any bad effect in that case. All the footage is transcoded w/o problems. So far os good . :) |
