Problem with FirstLight player
Hello helpful people of the Intertubes ;)
Just recently I have been getting this error when I load Cineform avi's into FirstLight and select them. "There was a problem initializing the player. Please try re-starting FirstLight." I tried reinstalling and also tried an older version but I always get the error. I have no idea why this started to happen but I have been using FL for more than a year with no problems. The last last changes I can think of is installing Vegas 10 and updating FirstLight. The codec otherwise plays fine in Vegas. Anyone got ideas? Thanks, Arnar |

What do you know.. 5 minutes after posting I figured it out and of course it was a stupid mistake :)
The project was referencing files that had been moved. I had recently moved them to another folder and then went on a vacation for a week so I forgot about the changes. The error message could have been less vague and say something like "file not found" or "Missing link" but this will hopefully help someone else that gets that error and tries to google it :D |
