Mixing HDV and 5DII video
Looking to finish up on PAL DVD.
Any user suggestions for the best use of settings please? Is dropping in a HDV 1440 50i into a 1920p preset a good idea in particular? I'd also like to keep a HD master. Thank you |

Never put interlaced material on a progressive timeline, unless you intend to deinterlace it. Do you want 50i or 25p DVD?

For 25p, deinterlace your 50i source (before placing on the timeline, you can use HDLink.) Use a 25p time.
For 50i, use a 50i timeline, no issues with your progressive sources on interlaced timelines.
