First Light: FLPlayer.exe quits after impoting cineform file
Guys, I'm having a trouble with First Light on my machine.
Every time I try importing Cineform converted file, it is added to the library however no image is displayed and I cannot play it back. I also noticed that right after I import a file, FLPlayer.exe process immediately dies. When I try opening another file without restarting First Light, I get warning that says "Player Error: There was a problem initializing the player. Please try re-starting First Light." Did that couple of times with no luck. My specs: Windows7 64bit Neo4k 5.1.3.272 QuickTime 7.6.8 Any ideas what could be the problem? Thanks. -Ivan |

I have seen this, not never repeatable so we have not found its true cause. We think it is an incorrect 3D mode has been accidentally set.
Try (one at a time:) 1) the beta build 5.1.4.273 (posted in another thread) 2) In the "C" sys tray icon, set the 3D mode to Right eye, then set it back to Left. 3) Delete these files C:\Users\Public\CineForm\override.colr C:\Users\Public\CineForm\LUTs\db\override*.colr

Thanks for fast reply, David.
I tried your suggestions one by one, but unfortunately it didn't solve the problem for me :( Well, there's always means of last resort - reinstalling Windows. I think I'm going to try it next weekend. |

Load C:\Program Files (x86)\CineForm\Tools\CFHDDecoder.dll into the "dependeny walker" (free download -- 32-bit version) -- maybe you are missing a DLL .

David, I tried Dependency Walker and that's what it gave me:
Warning: At least one delay-load dependency module was not found. Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module. GPSVC.DLL: Error Opening file. The system cannot find the file specified (2) IESHIMS.DLL: Error Opening file. The system cannot find the file specified (2) There are also couple of DLLs highlighted (see attachment) with no error message next to them. Could this be the reason of my troubles? Thanks, -Ivan |

I expect not, only missing primiary level DLLs are typically an issue (although both DLL are present on my system.) You should file a trouble ticket with support to see what they suggest.

I also started getting this error in one Firstlight project with over 200 Cineform files. I resolved to start another project and that fixed it.
