Neo Scene MTS conversion lost audio
Hi,
We're using Neo Scene (latest update 5.0.19.149) to convert our MTS files to Pro Res HQ on a Mac for use in Final Cut. We verified the MTS have sound, but no output from Neo contains sound. (not even Cineform 422.) Anyone encounter this problem? This process used to be nearly bulletproof. Then for a while the files were not readable by Final Cut, but the latest release seems to have fixed that particular problem. But the audio problem persists with every clip. Quicktime, etc. all are installed. We've got a ticket in with Cineform, but would appreciate it if anyone has any info. Thanks! Rob |

You nêed to download AC3 filter to get audio. Do a search here, it has a link to download it. Dave Newman knows the link, I am sure he will post the link here for you when he sêe your post.

Hi, thanks. Downloaded the Mac AC3 codec for quicktime, dropped the component file into our library/quicktime. That didn't work. Then I saw on google someone suggested installing Perian which has AC3 support. That seems to have worked! Will try a few more batches to be sure, but I think we're good to go now.
Thanks all, Rob |
