First Light is GREAT! at DVinfo.net

I'm working on a two-camera project that was shot outdoors in late afternoon. The event was only an hour, but the sun kept getting lower in the sky, causing the shadows to block up. When I used the usual tools in Premiere to correct the shadows, it would have taken 12 hours to render the timelines.

I removed the Adobe effects and finally read the user's manual on First Light. I was able to set keyframes and set the corrections to vary continuously through the timelines, keeping the people's faces in shadows look similar at both the beginning and end of the shoot. When I went back to Premiere and started playing the timeline, the corrections were instantly applied. Magic!

First Light is a wonderful tool, working in parallel to Premiere. This made the upgrade from NeoScene to NeoHD well worth it.
