System build for 3D using Neo4K
David: We are considering our first 3D presentation and currently own Neo4K which should do the trick. Our edit system is currently a robust quad-core, but not the eight-core specified in the min firstlight specs for 3D production. In building a new system would a robust AMD based six-core do the trick (cost effective to build) or due we really need to build a dual-quad core system... Thanks and what a wonderful product.....

3D functions will run on far lessor systems than recommended, only full res. realtime output is limited on lower end systems. I currently use a 6 core Intel i7 gaming system, not a dual proc workstation, and it is fast enough. I haven't tried the 6 core AMD systems.
