FL metadata across network
David, we were wondering if the FL metadata and changes on one ws should/could be reflected in realtime on another FL session on another ws when accessing the same video clip?
The reason for this is we were pulling up the same clip on another ws and thought somehow the same settings would be reflected in the FL window on the remote ws? Apparently we're not understanding how/where/what is taking place and expected the identical changes to be reflected in the FL on the second machine. Are we dreaming and is metadata/FL data impossible to pull in realtime across a network? (or are we just too dumb to understand this whole process?) Is there no way to sync the two FL sessions for workgroup purposes? If so, how do we do it? |

The simpliest way is still using Dropbox, training video here
You can place your correction is a centralized network location so all sessions use that live, however we have found most networks too slow for the huge number of tiny requests Active Metadata needs. Dropbox works much better.
