Can't install NeoHD in second OS
I have successfully installed and activated NeoHD in WinXP. I just tried to install and activate NeoHD on Windows 7 64-bit which is also installed on the same machine in a dual-boot configuration. When I tried to activate the second NeoHD installation, I received an e-mail saying that this serial number was already activated. I thought the Cineform policy was that I could install NeoHD on two machines like I could with NeoScene. In fact, since I am trying to install it in two operating systems which are on the same physical machine, there is absolutely no way I could use both installations of NeoHD simultaneously.
It's too bad that activate.exe doesn't recognize the hardware signature of a specific machine and allow for a single activation of both installations in both operating systems on the same machine. It will be a monumental pain to have to deactivate and activate NeoHD every time I boot into one OS or the other as I do this many times a day. So what's the deal, can I have two activated NeoHD installations or not? John Cline |
