In the status viewer (in the systray) it will tell what you have install and what is available.
We are codec 6.2.3 now.

David- INSTALLATION ISSUES CONTD..
upgrading form PHD to NeoHD -> invalid activation key.
1) should my old PHD v4 be uninstalled or should it be deactivated prior to upgrading to NeoHDv5? Confusion arises from the simple fact that it at one place it is stated that PHD should be uninstalled ( standard upgrading procedure) and another place it is stated that ”New activations are only provided after any existing activation has been deactivated. So - uninstalled or deactivated? (This is on my w7 64 i5 portable) 2) will I - as entitled up until now - still be allowed to have two separate installations - one one my "field portable" and one on my main editing machine? |

I seem to be having the same problem,.
Purchased neoscene back in March. Updated to V5 this morning, but now my activation key is invalid. Went through the steps to get a new activation code, but that one was also invalid. Emailed Tim as per this thread, Hope to get it resolved soon James |

Prior to contacting support or myself, please read the link in the first post in this thread.
I'll post it again here for good measure: Cineform Tech Blog Blog Archive Neo Family v5 Upgrade Policy The support load is high right now because of all the upgrades, and the process is automated when following the instructions above. This is the fastest and easiest way to get a new serial number. In case that article is not clear: If you are an existing Neo Scene customer and have purchased your copy since January 1, 2010, you MUST submit an upgrade form (FreeUpgrade) to get a new Neo Scene v5 serial number. Then, you can activate your v5 product. If you just download and install v5 without getting a new serial number and activation key, it will run in trial mode and eventually expire. The same goes for those upgrading from Prospect HD/4K v4 to Neo 4K v5. If you purchased Neo Scene prior to 1/1/2010, you must purchase the upgrade to version 5 for $49 from our online store. Or, you can opt to upgrade to Neo HD for just $249.

Got the new v.5 serial #, install v. 5 went fine, but the activation key gives an "invalid Key" error msg. I have a trouble ticket in- just hoping they can get to me before the trial period expires in 6 days.

Well, I'm using WinRAR x64 3.90. Let me upgrade it and see what happens. 7-zip is the newest version, though.
I downloaded it again, updated WinRAR to V3.93 and it worked fine, but the new download also worked okay with 7-zip. I'm wondering if it has something to do with downloading through Firefox (which has a lot of script blocking). This time I tried IE instead to access the Cineform website download link. Sorry for the false alarm. Last edited by Jay Bloomfield; May 17th, 2010 at 05:38 PM. Reason: Update |
