Cineform Query ?
Just a query ?
Ignoring the extra features like firstlight etc, introduced with 4.X. If I capture/export the same video clip with Cineform Prospect 3.X and with Cineform Prospect 4.X (assume same export settings) Would I visually notice any difference ? |

You would not. Our encoder has been solid for some years now. 95% of codec enhancements have been with the decoder.

David.
Thanks for the feedback Can you advise where the decoder is needed in a workflow.. I would have assumed that the decoder was needed (in Premier), to convert CFHD files to the "export" format chosen. (e.g MOV h.264) hence, if the improvments are in the decoder, should there not be differences between a 3.x rendered video vs 4.x rendered video ? regards Justin. |
