Neo scene converted clip makes audio & video out of sync

I am converting several MOV files to AVI using Neo Scene. The audio & video are in sync in the MOV format but the converted AVI files audio & video are significantly out of sync. My file conversions before in Neo Scene have worked fine. Nothing has changed except this time it is not working. I have tried converting these files 3 times without success.

Using the MOV file in Vegas is a nightmare. Does anyone have a solution in how I can successfully convert these files with Neo Scene?

Thanks!

We hear reports like this, but it is really sync issue. Is it out of sync in Vegas, or only in MediaPlayer? If MP only, set Start->Programs->CineForm->Tools->Desktop Playback - Fast. You PC may not be fast enough, for the quality MP mode.

David:

This is really an odd situation. I read your instructions on resetting Neo Scene to the "fast mode" on another thread & tried it. At first it appeared to work (audio & video were in sync) thus inserted the converted AVI file in Vegas. Then in editing I noticed the video portion disappeared. Actually what occurred was in a 7 min clip, the audio was there the entire time but the Video dropped out after about 3.5 mins but again was there in the MOV source file.

The good part is I needed to only do a simple insert and transition thus I ended up just inserting the MOV file since the video & audio were in sync and complete and then processed the video which ended up being ok which got me through this video. The big negative is the MOV file lacks the ability to really play with it during editing & what it really means is Neo Scene advantages were there for these few clips. What puzzles me is there were a few other files I converted at the same time from MOV to AVI & they worked fine as AVI files.

I just hope I have no additional clips that do this in the future because it limits my editing ability.
