Neo HD crashes on Canon clips
I was getting along quite well in Neo Scene. I could convert Canon clips from my SX1 IS just fine (a point and shoot with 1920x1080 resolution), but I couldn't convert clips from my Kodak Zi8. I tried Neo HD, it converted the Kodak clip fine so I bought and installed it. But now I can't convert the Canon clips anymore. The HD Link utility crashes as soon as I try to convert a Canon clip. It works fine on the Kodak clips but immediately crashes on the Canon. I can't access the old Neo Scene converter utility. When I click on that shortcut I get the new HD Link converter instead. Of the two formats, the non-working Canon one is the one I care most about.
I tried various system restore points to get back to where I was but for some reason none of the restore points are working so I am sort of dead in the water right now as far as working with my new Canon camera. By the way, First Light is AWESOME. Last edited by Laurence Kingston; March 15th, 2010 at 06:48 PM. Reason: clarification |

OK I got it working now. I uninstalled Neo HD, reinstalled Neo Scene, uninstalled Neo Scene and reinstalled Neo HD. Originally I hadn't uninstalled Neo Scene before installing Neo HD. Maybe that was somehow the problem. Anyway, all is fine now and I can finally convert clips from all my cameras.
