Cineform and audio processing
Hi David,
The one thing that I can't find much information about is how Cineform processes HDV audio. Does it transcode the original mpeg audio to a different file type? If so, do you have the option to select the type of audio you would like to edit with? -Geoff |

We take the compressed MPEG audio and convert to uncompressed 48k 16bit stereo, and store as uncompressed (within the AVI.) Audio bit-rates are so low compared with HD, there is no point in having it compressed.
