Vegas Cineform renders darker than in preview window.
I am testing the Cineform Neo-hd trial with Vegas 9.0c.
Footage shot on 7d and converted using HDLink. I made a project in Firstlight and applied one of the black and white LUT presets. Firstlight is incredible btw. The issue I have is when I render my project in Vegas, it looks really dark when playing the file in Windows media player. It looks completely different than the preview window in Vegas. Is it a media player issuE or am I missing some settings when rendering? |

You may be amazed, but the Vegas Preview is wrong. It shows black at level 16, media player is showing black at level 0 (as you would expect.) To color correct in Vegas (without an external calibrated I/O card) you show place the StudioRGB to ComputerRGB file on the timeline window.
