Cineform presets not showing up in PPro or AE CS4
Hey,
I bought NeoScene last night, installed and activated it today, and have been unable to get it working with PPro CS4 and AE CS4. I left a phone message with cineform support but have still not heard back from them, and cannot find an answer to help me anywhere online. I had the trial installed previous to buying NeoScene, and I believe it had the presets working and would also playback in VLC fine. Now that i have activated and installed the latest NeoScene version i no longer get playback in VLC. Yes i did uninstall all traces of cineform before this most recent install. I have uninstalled and reinstalled "NeoScene-1.5.0.137-Setup" and still no presets show up in CS4 and still no playback in VLC like i use to have. I saw someone say in one thread that 5% of computers just dont read the codec info correctly, I think this may be what is happening. Any ideas? Thanks! - Shawn |

Fill a support ticket here Support Center , faster than phone.
However, VLC doesn't work with any third party codec, it only uses open source codec implementations. For a good already player, get Media Player Classic.

Thanks David, Ill use that support link. I have MPC also, when i playback using it, the footage plays fast and the audio plays normal speed. so the video portion finishes well ahead of the audio.
I dont understand, why did VLC playback clips fine when i had the trial version? Maybe it was the trial version of NeoHD or Prospect i had before, would that do it? - Shawn |

You are mistaking, VLC has no mechanism to play CineForm codec, trial or not, not matter the tool.
That audio playback issue seems like something support will easily address.
