ProspectHD + Premiere Pro CS4 + Windows 7 x64

If you haven't guessed yet, I'm having a problem with this combination of products. If I set up a Cineform 1080 50i project, and try and render anything, Premiere Pro CS4 crashes to the desktop with the usual Premiere Pro crash screen. It doesn't seem to matter what's on the sequence timeline, just as long as Cineform is the rendering format, it crashes. This happens on two separate computers, both running fresh installs of Windows 7 x64, one with Shark007's x64 codec pack, and one without any additional codec's installed.

I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem, and whether anyone has a suggested fix, short of creating an Adobe 1080 50i sequence.

File a ticket with support, as I never heard of this. My home system is the same setup.

It turns out, that despite the fact I had done a full update of all Adobe products, Premiere Pro was still at version 4.0.0. The update must have been interrupted or unsuccessful. Simply updating Premiere Pro to the latest version resolved the problem on both computers.

good find. Yes 4.0.0 Premiere is broken in so many ways, whereas 4.2 is pretty good.
