multi-channel audio support during sdi capture with Prospect HD
I'm aware that CineDDR can handle 16 audio tracks but it's way more than I need and therefore out of my price range. But Prospect HD I have. What about HD Link?
If I'm capturing video via HD-SDI with HD Link and my source is carrying more than the standard two channels of audio, will Prospect HD deal with the multiple audio channels correctly? How many audio channels can HD Link support? In other words, when I drop the video into my Premiere timeline will all the souce audio tracks be available for the edit? Thanks. |

Well, no one seems to have an answer for me on this one. It's a strange question, I know.
I'm playing with direct capture via HD SDI out of my JVC HD250 to HD Link. I have a more basic question regarding audio. Is there any way to do any basic audio monitoring while it's capturing to the PC? So far I have been unable to hear the audio while capturing. It's there when I play back, but nothing while it's being captured. Thanks. |
