Whats Best?

Here are my options as they are,

first off my system specs are as follows:
AMD atholon XP +2800 (2.1ghz)
1024mb RAM
ATI Radeon 9800pro 128mb
120gb hardrive (only 22gb un-used right now)

okay my options:
A.) AspectHD
b.) ConnectHD (since i only used HDlink from aspectHD trial, what would the advantage of me choosing AspectHD vs ConnectHD?)
c.) neither aspect or connect HD, and just upgrade to a 3.0-3.5 pentium 4 proccessor. (does HD in premeire run just as well as connect/aspect HD if my proccessor is good?)

Thank you guys, i need to make a descision by the end of this weekend because i got myself into a major project, lol

If you don't intend to use Premiere Pro then Connect HD is fine for general work. If you mention the workflow and tools you are planning I might have more options.

Aspect HD works with Premiere Pro. If you don't use Premiere Pro, then just get Connect HD.

If you use Premiere Pro 1.5.1 then Aspect HD makes it realtime. Or, since your PC is way underpowered for HDV editing, it makes it possible.

You might not be able to actually use Premiere Pro by itself to edit HDV without Aspect HD.

(Edit: David beat me to the punch. But now you have it from a user and the CTO of Cineform.)

I am their #1 fan, I think. They gave me back my realtime, and I don't know how I would work without it.

I am going to see Axio this week. Being a Premiere Pro fan, and not pleased with the MainConcept solution, there is only one other possibility for me. And I don't think that I will be able to justify the move to Axio. Aspect HD is a LOT less expensive, and it gets the job done.
