DVD problem in PremPro from AspectHD
Hi,
I'm new here and these forums are very informative. Thanks! I'm using a Sony FX-1, Premiere Pro 1.51 and Aspect HD 3.0. When I render a mpeg 2 for DVD from Adobe Media Encoder, pans don't look smooth. I've tried upper field first, lower field first and progressive but nothing helps. It almost looks like a much lower frame rate. I'm shooting 60i. If I render the Cineform HD timeline to m2t and export it to the camera, everything looks great. If I downconvert in the camera and render a DVD from the DV timeline the motion is smooth. It seems to me that there is a problem in scaling. Has anyone seen this or have any suggestions? BTW Aspect HD 3.0 is AMAZING. Thanks, Mick |

Hi,
I tried several settings. I ended up with 8Mb/s 2pass VBR / Quality 5 / 8 n frames / 2 b frames / upper field first. The strange thing is that if I render the timeline to m2t, then record it back to the camera and then re-capture it as SD DV, I can make a DVD with no motion problems but of course the color and clarity doesn't look as good. thanks, Mick |
