10-bit functionality without the BOXX?
Greetings,
Will we be seeing the cineform codec with 10-bit functionality without owning the turn-key BOXX solution? Personally, this would be a major selling point. |

Yes that has began to happen. Promax has signed on to be a Prospect HD integrator and BOXX has dropped their prices http://www.boxxtech.com/asp/1selectc...sp?ModelID=282. Prospect HD will be also be sold separately soon, but will we still be recommending the integrators for HDSDI based solutions.

Prospect HD only support the AJA Xena HD cards. Support for other cards may happen -- I can't give any details.
Using the AJA card with Prospect HD playback and scrubbing go out the HD-SDI as it should.

Ok, I might wait to buy for now unless there is an option to upgrade from Aspect HD to Prospect HD later on. I would buy a BOXX but I recently got a beast from DV Line. Any chance of upgrading from Aspect to Prospect later on without paying full face value? Send coupons to greggjacobson@gmail.com :) |

I happened to be looking at the Boxx web site today and can no longer find anything there regarding editing workstations based on Prospect HD. Anyone know what's going on?

BOXX messed up their site a few days ago for ordering video products, and it should be fixed soon. Prospect HD is a main focus for them : http://www.boxxtech.com/applications/video_systems.asp
