Cineform neoscene export interlace or not?

Once I have captured with Neoscene HDLink to Cineform Avi Files
imported into Premiere CS3
edited then export to cineform avi
and select resize from 1440x1080i PAL to 720x576 PAL

In the tech docs it says to export as upper field first for pal
right I am ok with this.

so do I end up with a top field based 720x576 interlaced file or does cineform deinterlace it
for me?

In Short how does cineform export work when resizing?

I am asking this since when I fetch the exported avi into encore I am unsure it the field order is wrong, since the default is for PAL DVD Bottom Field First.

please advise, David, anyone?
thanks

I work with NTSC footage. I'm no expert but I've never seen upper field first. I either go lower field first for interlaced or no field (progressive). You could try a test and see which works best.
