From NEO HDV within Vegas 7 to HDCAM
Hello,
I need to submit HDCAM tapes to festivals. My footage originated in HDV but is not edited in NEO HDV. Can I render to HDCAM format from my Cineform footage? I'm thinking about rendering to a hard drive and then take it to a production house. I think they should be able to print tapes from my drive, as long as I have the right rendered stuff. So here's my question: From within Vegas, to what do I render to be able to print those festival HDCAM tapes? Thanks a lot L. |

Contact your local post facility and them what digital formats they will play out to tape. Then contact your festival, and ask them to think beyond tape. I just made recommendations to the San Diego Film Featival to bypass HD tape, and only take files in the intermediate formats (CineForm, DNxHD or ProRES.)
